Mammoth and Back in a Day (Almost)
So... after a break, I'm back.
Last weekend, Iz & I zipped up to Mammoth to look at condos. Having never been to Mammoth before, I must say, it is beautiful. On a whim, we bought season passes to Mammoth Mtn. (Early bird passes are the way to go!! Check out Mammoth Mtn.'s site for details around February.)
The reason for the trip was to shop for a condo, and this being the only weekend we hadn't promised our souls to others (in 2 hour increments) we decided to hit 395.
Highlight of the trip: Getting pulled over by Officer Jake Steele, of the CHP, for speeding on the long downhill to Bishop & . . . getting off with a "Hey, make my job easy and kep it under 70. Okay?" The irony is, he then roared off at what looked like nearly 100mph to catch some other speeder.
Lowpoint: 13 hours in a '94 Honda Civic. (With the cheap seats.)
